On November 26 we are voting on our new Executive committee for Design Algoma. The executive committee helps plans events, workshops, and executive decisions for the group. We are looking for nomination for these positions:

• President
• Vice-Presidents (2)
• Secretary
• Treasurer
• Industry Rep
• Student Rep

You can nominate a peer or yourself. You need to be RGD registered to be a candidate.
Please let us know of any candidate as soon as possible.

Call for Submissions

Terry has challenged everyone to create an illustrated numeral "1" and submit it to him no later than Oct 15.

Each of the "ones" will be used in a poster to advertise the AGM and that Design Algoma is one year old.

Submissions must be

• A Razterized Photoshop File
• 4" x 4"
• 300dpi

The new presentation for this thursdays meeting will be a series of short films on the following;

Design and the elastic Mind
An interview with Paola Antonelli curator of MoMA’s wonderful,
monumental exhibit spanning design, science and technology, ‘Design and the Elastic Mind,’

and some Pretty Cool People interviews featuring

Olivier Marquezy - french graphic designer
Tom14 - street artist from Barcelona
Valerie Pirson - french annimator
Kustaa Saaksi - a finnish illustrator
